Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actor working on television, film and theater. Since the age of 27 she has been professional active as a thespian. She began her career in 1990, in a non Broadway production of The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. In The Perfect Tribute, she was given her first TV appearance one year later. In 1992, she got her first role as a supporting character in Basic Instinct. It was the beginning of her impressive profession. It was in The Firm however that she got the role of woman leading the film for just the first time. She was cast in the film alongside actors like Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. In the 90s, she worked with a number of top actors from Hollywood, like Gwyneth Paltrow and Hugh Grant. Most recently, she played in the role as the character of Dr. Alex Blake in Criminal Minds.
